At GCWM, our mission is:
At GCWM, we believe that women's problems cut across race and countries. We believe that it is the responsibility of every individual — to the best of her ability — to help those who are unable to help themselves.
We believe that an individual must have within herself the desire and will to be helped and the humility to receive help. And, once help is received, the individual will be able to move from helplessness to hopefulness.
At GCWM, we provide educational workshops, seminars, and outreach services to women. By providing activities associated with daily maintenance as well as resource information, we enable women to explore their options and define their goals. Additional services are also available, such as referrals to appropriate agencies, assistance in attending appointments, finding permanent housing, and crisis intervention. We also provide information to groups and organizations about the needs of women in transition.
